For checking IFRA compliance or any other standard of your products, depending on your equipment you proceed in the following ways
- First way:I don’t have a chromatograph
No problem, ask for the composition to the vendors that provided you with the substances you are using. For instance if you have this formula:
One vendor could send you a pdf. This could be how the PDF of the vendor looks like:
That pdf that can be loaded instantaneally in the system with button load analytic for every product that is not a final product.
So, for every line, you will load a pdf and that is all!. If the substance associated has a CAS number, it is not needed even that pdf and the application assume is comprised 100% of that substance.
The analytic once loaded on the system can be checked with «Match Standard» Button. You will get the result and which component was the root of the mismatch in such case.
2. Second way: I do have a chromatograph
If you have a Spectregrama you can load the result analytic in Load Anaytic window (once the substance is in a bottle and you havealready done the mix) and click Check Standard
analytic, though this process can guide you for what substance to use.
By default IFRA with category 4 (Body Creams, Oils, Lotions, Fragrancing Creams of all types (except baby creams and lotions)) is active. But can be changed to any other category.
